Typical use Of Dorzolamide :Glaucoma
Mechanism of action of Dorzolamide :Dorzolamide Is A Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitor That Reduces Formation Of Hydrogen And Carbonate Ions From CO2 And Water Thereby Reducing Aqueous Humor Secretion, Thus Lowering Intraocular Pressure.
Drug Interaction of Dorzolamide :Dorzolamide Should Not Be Administered With Oral Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors Because The Combination May Lead To Increased Adverse Effects. When Used With Other Eye Drops For Reducing Intraocular Pressure, Administration Of Both Drugs Should Be Separated By At Least 10 Minutes. Enhance Effects Of Amphetamines, Ephedrine, Quinidine. Reduce Effects Of Methenamine And Its Compounds. Enhance Antiepileptic-induced Osteomalacia. Severe Acidosis And Increased CNS Toxicity With Aspirin. Increased Excretion Of Lithium.

Mechanism of action of Timolol :Timolol Competes With Adrenergic Neurotransmitters Such As Catecholamines For Binding At Beta(1)-adrenergic Receptors In The Heart And Vascular Smooth Muscle And Beta(2)-receptors In The Bronchial And Vascular Smooth Muscle.
