Typical use Of Cefepime :Gynecological And Moderate To Severe Intra Abdominal Infections,bacteremia, Septicaemia, Lower Respiratory Tract Infection, Severe Pneumonia, Febrile Neutropenia, Acute Leukemia, Urinary Tract Infections (UTI).
Mechanism of action of Cefepime :Cephalosporins Are Bactericidal And Have The Same Mode Of Action As Other Beta-lactam Antibiotics (such As Penicillins). Cephalosporins Disrupt The Synthesis Of The Peptidoglycan Layer Of Bacterial Cell Walls. The Peptidoglycan Layer Is Important For Cell Wall Structural Integrity, Especially In Gram-positive Organisms. The Final Transpeptidation Step In The Synthesis Of The Peptidoglycan Is Facilitated By Transpeptidases Known As Penicillin Binding Proteins (PBPs).
Drug Interaction of Cefepime :Probenecid May Increase The Serum Level Of Cefepime.
Side effects of Cefepime :Pseudomembranous Colitis, Hemolytic Anemia, Bone Marrow Depression, Cholestasis, Vomiting, Abdominal Cramps, Renal Failure, Oral Candidiasis.

Typical use Of Tazobactam :It Is Indicated For The Treatment Of Patients With Moderate To Severe Infections Caused By Piperacillin-resistant, Piperacillin/tazobactamsusceptible, ?-lactamase Producing Strains Of The Designated Microorganisms (Appendicitis (complicated By Rupture Or Abscess) And Peritonitis Caused By Piperacillin-resistant, ?-lactamase Producing Strains Of Escherichia Coli Or The Following Members Of The Bacteroides Fragilis Group: B. Fragilis, B. Ovatus, B. Thetaiotaomicron, Or B. Vulgatus).
Mechanism of action of Tazobactam :Tazobactum Inhibits The Action Of Bacterial ?-lactamases That Would Normally Degrade Piperacillin And Extend The Spectrum Of ?-lactam Antibiotics.
